Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you will have the opportunity to influence key strategic decisions, collaborate on complex tax issues, and lead compliance initiatives within a large, dynamic corporate group. About the Role

As the Senior Tax Advisor you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide tax advice on significant projects, including new renewable projects, new products, and business growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross sectional teams to shape major decisions, ensuring tax implications align with business objectives and tax compliance.
  • Stay ahead of evolving tax developments, proactively advising the business on compliance and strategic impacts.
  • Partner with the Finance team to deliver insightful tax forecasts and budgets, contributing to key business decisions.
  • Lead the preparation and review of income tax returns, tax effect accounting, and statutory reporting obligations ensuring accuracy and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain the tax governance framework, providing guidance on tax risk and policy implementation.
  • Manage relationships with the ATO, external advisors, and internal business units.

How can you support the Clean Energy Transition

To be successful in our tax team, you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics with CA/CPA accreditation. (A Master of Tax qualification will be highly regarded).
  • 7+ years in Australian tax within Big 4, second-tier firms, or a multinational corporations with strong technical skills in tax laws and tax effect accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Global Integrator (preferred)
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure, managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and skilled at identifying process improvements and champions tax automation opportunities.
