About the Role

The Trainee Warehouse Officer position provides an opportunity for you to gain warehousing skills and experience at our Mount Piper Power Station, whilst also undertaking tertiary studies (certificate) in a related field.  

As the Trainee Warehouse Officer, you will:

  • Complete training modules associated with completing a Certificate
  • Obtain a forklift licence and develop proficiency in safe and efficient operation
  • Receive goods into the warehouse using receiving reports and supplier documentation
  • Issue goods from the warehouse to ensure timely and safe issue of items via over-the-counter issues or delivery
  • Maintenance of the stores and warehouse to ensure clear access to storage areas/racking, correct storage of items, and keeping all areas clean.

What We’re Looking For

  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail – Accuracy for data entry purposes is a must!
  • Demonstrated personal organisation skills and ability to take the initiative
  • Ability to actively collaborate with team members
  • Willingness to learn and elevate skills
