Corporate Business Partner (Technology)

About the role: Corporate Business Partner

Reporting into the Corporate Platform & Resilience Leader, the main responsibility of this role will be to serve as the strategic business partner on behalf of the Corporate Platform and Resilience team with assigned business units or functional areas for the purpose of business technology strategy development, ideation, solution discovery, technology portfolio management and relationship management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for understanding business landscape, strategic priorities, challenges & pain points and investment portfolio 
  • identify key stakeholders for concept development, establishing workshops and facilitating ideation, scenario planning & options consideration sessions with consultation across relevant Domain Architects and other key stakeholders
  • Lead and manage business relationships, both internal and external
  • Key attendee in business planning, overseeing strategic priorities & capability blueprints
  • Identify opportunities to socialise technology strategic development or create awareness of new technology initiatives  
  • Influence key stakeholders to align with technology direction and decisions, working across the different portfolios (i.e. broker decisions)  

 

Be Impactful when you are applying…

You are confident engaging across business and technical domains, with a proven ability to translate complex needs into actionable business outcomes. You will also have most of the following:  

  • Experience working with senior level management and executives to develop a technology strategy that is integrated with IT and across all business units (Strong business acumen is a must). 
  • Experience in business consulting, service design, or strategic engagement roles. 
  • Strong understanding of SAP systems, processes & benefits
  • Strong understanding of strategy, product methodologies, and enterprise/corporate systems 
  • Proficiency in business process modelling and documentation tools 
  • Experience in Agile and hybrid delivery models
  • Degree in computer science, information technology, business systems or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent significant practical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business including senior management
