The Site
Tallawarra is one of Australia's most environmentally efficient, large-scale gas-fired power stations. It comprises a combined cycle and open cycle gas-fired station with fast-start capability, producing less carbon emissions than conventional coal-fired power stations. The station’s generation capacity is Tallawarra A at 440 MW and Tallawarra B at 320 MW - which is enough power to supply up to 350,000 homes. This is an active power station, located just south of Wollongong, NSW.
Please note: This role will also support our Hallett Power Station in South Australia.
The Permanent Opportunity Available
We’re seeking a skilled Operational Technology (C&I) Engineer to join our team and ensure best-in-class plant automation while addressing current and future cybersecurity threats.
As such, this role will have a broad focus across Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Operational Technology. The role will be based at Tallawarra Power Station, however occasional travel to Hallett Power Station in South Australia will be required to support the asset.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies and providing expert technical advice and engineering support concerning electrical, control systems and cyber security at Tallawarra Power Station. You will support sustaining a risk reduction and uplift in OT systems and processes in accordance with our OT Cyber Security Policy and Standard, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act.
