In commercial finance, we provide business partnering and commercial support with teams to make sure we get the most out of our resources. This involves setting goals, creating financial plans, and keeping track of important numbers. We provide reports and insights that help drive performance and support smart decision-making. We also help with regular financial and operational updates to ensure that we're all on track to achieve EnergyAustralia's goals.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting ambitious annual targets, developing robust financial plans and forecasts, and establishing and tracking key performance metrics. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering insightful reports and strategic support that underpin performance and guide key decisions. Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Contributing to enterprise level business performance reporting, and individual business unit reporting.
  • Providing variance analysis of performance against plans and forecasts along with insights into performance improvement opportunities
  • Consolidating business unit reporting including producing cashflow and balance sheet forecasts and insights
  • Developing automated reporting frameworks and dashboards to enhance efficiencies and insight to business performance
  • Working with business stakeholders to provide reporting to ACCC, ESC and ABS as required
  • Support the annual financial planning process and ongoing forecasting process including the capital plan, cash flow and balance sheet, and presentation preparation

How can you support the Clean Energy Transition

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum)
  • Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualifications preferred 
  • Minimum 2+ years in Finance with previous management reporting and/or planning experience desirable
  • Experience of financial modelling and strong commercial acumen 
  • Previous working knowledge of using SAP an advantage
