About Us
At EnergyAustralia our shared purpose is to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all. We seek to do this by making energy simple for our customers, meeting their needs by combining their assets into our flexible energy portfolio.

About the Team
The Product Strategy Team play a crucial role in delivering customer-centric products for our retail business. They are responsible for owning product roadmaps and managing the entire product lifecycle, from new product development through to end-of-life, ensuring all products comply with relevant consumer regulations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Performance Leader, the Product Strategy Leader is accountable for defining and delivering our product vision and roadmap, ensuring that products are actively managed throughout the customer lifecycle, and that best-practice product management methodologies are consistently applied. With a deep understanding of energy product and pricing regulations, they ensure new products are designed with compliance built in from the outset, while also focusing on maximising profitability across the entire product lifecycle.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Own and drive a high-performance culture, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Define the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching goals and evolving market opportunities
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that prioritises features and enhancements based on segmented customer needs, competitive analysis, and overall business impact
  • Collaborate closely with pricing, strategy, and retail performance teams to maximise profitability across the entire product suite
  • Effectively lead the team in alignment with the EA Ways of Working, driving delivery of business goals across the balanced scorecard

About You
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in leading product teams, ideally within the energy industry. With strong planning and prioritisation skills, you’ll have the ability to undertake multiple concurrent projects and effectively manage competing business demands. Other things we’re keen on include:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent career experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of product team members, creating a strong team culture of collaboration
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong ability in driving advocacy and support for best practice product delivery programs
  • Demonstrated experience in implementation of major change projects – considering process, people, and culture
  • Adaptable and proactive, ready to tackle challenges in a dynamic business, with a continuous improvement mindset

Why Us?
