About Us

Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation.

Our ability to deliver on this Purpose will be dependent on our people.

About the Role

As a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Portfolio Reporting Lead you will be part of the Enterprise PMO and support critical transformation initiatives. In this key role, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across our reporting platforms while designing and delivering an executive reporting suite that provides clear, automated, and timely insights into our project investment portfolio.

You’ll play a vital role in enabling strategic decisions by delivering high-quality reports that track progress, highlight risks, and communicate the status of key transformation efforts across the organisation.

  • Manage the month-end process for the project investment portfolio through working closely with Project Teams, project accountants, Finance Business Partners and EPMO Business Partners to ensure the timely and accurate entry of financial data (actuals, forecasts for costs and benefits) in SAP & BPC.
  • Review and investigate cost variances, forecast accuracy issues, and develop a suite of insights to inform the EPMO Leader and other stakeholders on the financial health of the portfolio and other initiatives across the organisation
  • Support the Annual Business Planning process through ensuring data is loaded into SAP and BPC accurately and according to planning timelines. This will include forecast costs, benefits, depreciation and amortisation schedules.
  • Accountable for the timely and accurate data management of all project portfolio data in EPMO excel models.
  • Simplify and extend portfolio management models to capture key initiative data points and create scenarios to enable analysis, evaluation, prioritisation and decision making by the EPMO Leader, Transformation Office, Executive Sponsors, and Investment Committee.
  • Create and maintain automated reporting in PowerBI to enable the timely analysis of trends and areas that require action, drawing data from multiple sources. The reports will support conversations at EPMO, Steering Committees, Transformation Office, Investment Committee and ELT audiences; and will also support the Quarterly Performance Review at the IC

How can you support the Clean Energy Transition

To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Technology, Engineering or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reports from scratch, drawing data from multiple sources.
  • Experience working with SAP S4/HANA and BPC.
  • Prior experience working in a Finance, EPMO or investment related team in a complex corporate environment.
  • Expert in Excel and the ability to create and maintain advanced excel commercial models.
  • Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills.
  • Thorough understanding of financial and accounting concepts such as actuals, forecasts, opex and capex treatment, benefits, ongoing costs, depreciation and amortisation.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, oral and aural.
