About the Role
This role focuses on delivering effective operations and asset management of gas turbines and electrical plant at Jeeralang Power Station. You will lead all aspects of electrical plant operations, from technical expertise and lifecycle management to compliance and safety.

We currently have 2 positions available: 1x Permanant opportunity & 1x 2 year fixed-term Contract.

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical expertise and management for electrical plant systems, including generators, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Lead electrical upgrade/replacement projects and ensure asset management plans are accurate and up-to-date.
• Plan and manage maintenance and project work, utilizing systems such as CMMS and Permit to Work procedures.
• Operate and monitor gas turbines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
• Prepare and execute major Opex and Capex projects, manage contracts, and oversee contractor performance.
• Foster a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.

About You

• Relevant qualifications such as an electrical apprenticeship or tertiary studies in Electrical Engineering/Diploma.
• Extensive experience in large industrial plants and asset management principles.
• Proficiency in Permit to Work systems and CMMS (Maximo preferred), along with Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving.
• A high level of operational/process knowledge, particularly related to Gas Turbine plants.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and achieve project goals collaboratively.
