Major Builders BDM

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our growth strategy, building strong relationships with builders and electricians. You’ll drive growth by building on new and existing building partners by assessing commercial viability and building compelling business cases, negotiating contracts with confidence, and keeping a close eye on market trends to evolve our value proposition and solutions.

Please note: We have 2 positions available. These are Sydney based roles where you will work remotely, as our head office is in Melbourne. These are full-time, permanent roles. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Contribute to and execute business sales strategy with Indirect Sales, Builders and Electricians
  • Manage a collaborative sales pipeline (Electricity, Gas and Solar connections) through to the delivery of annual sales and business plans
  • Developing business cases as required for potential clients, negotiating the terms of contracts, including commercial and legal requirements
  • Developing and maintain strong commercial relationships with clients including Builders, Electricians and other key partners
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to drive excellence in business development, stakeholder management, operational and pipeline efficiency.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Account and client management, with proven experience in B2B relationship management and delivering complex solutions
  • Prior Energy industry experience is highly desirable – as would be experience dealing in the building and construction sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen, with skills in producing financial modelling and ensuring business cases are profitable
  • Experience in project management and service proposition management
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with an understanding of the commercial and operational impacts of key decisions
  • You must have NSW Drivers License and your own vehicle, for which you will be reimbursed
  • You must be set up to work from home with the right OH&S requirements being met with your home office.
