About Us
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.

About the Team
The Customer Compliance Performance (CCP) team is undergoing significant transformation, creating exciting new opportunities to join at a pivotal time, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact. This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralia’s regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. And this is where you come in!

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our CCP Team as Compliance Analytics and Insights Lead. This high-impact position is responsible for designing and delivering compliance reporting that enables our executive team to understand compliance health across the business — and focus attention where it matters most. You’ll be working across a wide range of structured and unstructured data sources, connecting these together and leveraging analytics and AI to identify patterns, predict emerging risks, and support a risk-based approach to compliance.

This is a highly visible role, requiring both technical capability (e.g. Power BI, Python, Tableau etc) and the ability to present data in a compelling story that drives action. Key elements include:

  • Develop and maintain data reporting across key compliance areas, including Quality Assurance, Complaints, Archer (Risk System), Breaches, and Remediation activities
  • Create thematic reports based on root cause analysis findings, complaints trends, and compliance breaches to identify systemic issues
  • Partner with Technology and Customer teams to design and deliver automated reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualisation tools that enhance compliance monitoring and executive insights
  • Identify and lead initiatives to uplift data capture, quality and timeliness with the ultimate aim to embed and a mature our insights-driven decision making.

About You
While compliance analysis experience is desirable, the key to success in this role is the ability to design, build and maintain, high-quality reports from scratch and complete meaningful analysis that turns complexity into clear, structured insights — enhancing management’s capacity to act. Other things we’d love you to possess include:

  • Demonstrated experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or and/or other reporting and visualisation platforms
  • Analytical mindset, with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Continuous improvement ethos, always looking at technology capabilities and automation
  • Curiosity and the ability to think outside the square by understanding both the detail and the big picture
  • Previous experience presenting your analysis and insights to various stakeholder groups.

Why Us?
We’re committed to providing an inclusive culture so our people can bring their whole selves to work and have a sense of belonging. From our PRISM network that creates a positive culture for LGBTI employees to our Reconciliation Action Plan that has commitments to strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations, it’s a workplace where everyone’s welcome.  We offer;

  • Discounts on your energy bills for you, your friends and family
  • Recharge and relax with two extra days of leave each year (we call them recharge days)
  • Volunteer days off to help charities make a difference through volunteering
  • We offer 20 weeks paid parental leave that’s completely gender-equal
  • State-of-the-art Melbourne office, stunning views only 3–4-minute walk from Southern Cross station
