An opportunity has opened up for a Treasury Advisor join this supportive finance team on a 6 Month Contract basis, reporting into the Operations Financial Controller. In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee daily banking transactions, settlements, and payment processing, ensuring alignment with EA’s risk policies and managing offshore service providers. You’ll play a key role in shaping efficient, secure banking solutions and leading process improvements, including automation and transitioning manual tasks offshore.

Treasury Advisor (6 Month FTC)

  • Daily treasury back-office administration tasks, such as providing daily transaction statements to business, updating the system transactions, and various daily reports.
  • Execute and oversee supplier payments, energy and treasury settlements ensuring they are processed by the appropriate deadlines and financially recorded in accordance with EA corporate policies and procedures.
  • Confirmation and settlement of treasury deals (FX, interest rate swaps, bank drawdown's etc) in the treasury management system.
  • Managing the daily manual payment runs and ensuring that payment deadlines are met.
  • Providing advice and facilitating opening and closing bank accounts, user access management and facility bank account management.
  • Ensure effective and efficient controls are maintained across the various banking platforms and treasury management system including the consideration of offshore involvement
  • Oversee the delivery of required processes and outputs from an outsourced shared services provider.  
  • Ensure offshore team targets and deadlines are met with SLAs/CSL/KPIs.
  • Support the Operations Financial Controller in reaping optimal outcomes from the outsourced shared services provider by agreeing KPI suite and closely monitoring achievement of these KPIs.

How can you support the Clean Energy Transition

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years' experience in industry, in a finance role  
  • Previous experience overseeing an outsourced offshore service provider is preferred
  • Prior experience with online banking platforms
  • Thorough understanding of transactional accounting functions, treasury knowledge and internal control
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships across the business and work cross functionally
  • Proven ability to deliver ongoing process improvements
  • Corporate ERP experience (S4 advantageous)
