  • VIC
  • Corporate
  • Full Time Permanent

Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.

To ensure we deliver on this purpose we recognise the need for great business practices that not only protect our interests but meet regulatory requirements and deliver the right outcomes for our customers.   Investing in our Legal & Governance capabilities is something we are passionate about.

This is where you come in!

About the Role:

The Regulatory Compliance team is a second line of defence function within our Group Legal & Governance function. It provides independent regulatory advice, management reporting, breach determination and manages the engagement between external regulators and the business in relation to compliance and enforceable matters for our Customer Business Unit.

We have the following opportunities available within this team;

2 x Compliance Leaders

Each of the Compliance Leaders will lead a small team of Compliance Advisors in the provision of practical and pragmatic advice to our Retail business and will provide oversight and guidance on regulatory interpretation and incident & breach determination.

2 x Senior Compliance Advisors

Reporting to one of the Compliance Leaders, you will work proactively with the business to provide guidance on retail regulatory requirements and assist the business to embed EnergyAustralia’s Regulatory Uplift Program.

We invite expressions of interest from individuals who have;

  • Degree/tertiary qualifications in business or a related field
  • At least 5 years experience in a compliance advisory capacity (additional leadership experience of a compliance function is required for the Leader role)
  • Previous experience in disseminating complex information to a range of stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy sector and retail regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication skills
