Our Yallourn Power Station plays a key role in delivering energy to homes and businesses, and we are seeking a dedicated Facilities Management Lead to ensure the ongoing integrity and efficiency of our site’s infrastructure and services.

 

About the Role
As the Facilities Management Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising facilities management activities.. You will lead the strategic planning and operational execution of asset maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices while driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all facilities management activities to ensure optimal service delivery and efficiency.
  • Develop and update management instructions, operating procedures, and maintenance plans for Yallourn Power Station facilities and infrastructure.
  • Ensure adherence to building integrity standards, codes, and policies applicable to the site.
  • Manage contractors and direct labour workforce, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Work within established budgets, ensuring cost-effective management of estate services while maintaining service quality and delivering on planned objectives efficiently.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Estate Services Lead and senior management.

 

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering (Civil or Mechanical), or a related Building and/or Building Services discipline are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in developing and managing maintenance strategies for buildings, building services, civil infrastructure, and grounds to optimise costs against function and accommodation requirements.
  • Strong expertise in managing contracts and contractors to ensure compliance, safety, quality of work, time, and cost.
  • Proven ability to interpret policy and legislation and establish plans to ensure compliance.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, variance explanations, and trend analysis to meet reporting and forecasting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of asset management, risk management, health and safety legislation, incident investigation, and safe work practices.
