About the role 

Forming part of an onsite maintenance team at Mt Piper Power Station, Portland, NSW, this permanent role is required to provide a quality and safe electrical maintenance service on plant and equipment on-site, in accordance with policies and procedures, safe work practices and the environmental protections. 

This position will be accountable for, but will not be limited to the following: 

• Ensuring safety as a priority 

• Teamwork and collaboration 

• Support of computerised work management 

• Carrying out preventative electrical plant maintenance; 

• Identifying and completing corrective electrical plant maintenance 

• Planned maintenance compliance 

• Conducting plant inspections 

• Performing electrical problem solving (fault finding) 

About You 

• An unwavering personal commitment to workplace health & safety 

• A desire to complete all tasks to the highest quality, supported by a continuous improvement mindset 

• Completion of an apprenticeship and Electrical Trade Certificate 

• Demonstrated knowledge of modern power station plant or heavy industry including operational, maintenance and processes 

• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices and WHS legislation 

• Demonstrated ability to work to established QA systems / work modules 

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work independently. 

• Demonstrated ability to use the Ellipse WMS system or equivalent computer-based maintenance information systems.  

• Work effectively as a team member 

• Hold a current Electrical Trade Supervisors certificate  

• Desired applicant willing to relocate or to be within 50klms from site
