To help us light the way at Energy Australia, we are seeking a Generation Officer – GO1 to join the Operations team at our Mt Piper Power Station.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Shift Leader, this role will see you carry out operating and maintenance activities as part of a multi-disciplined team. This will include operation of plant and equipment and routine and defect maintenance. You will be a key player in ensuring a strong HSE culture by ensuring that all statutory regulations are adhered to and that all O&M activities employ safe work practices that are consistent with EnergyAustralia policies and procedures.

About you

Successful Applicants will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A personal commitment to occupational health and safety;
  • Demonstrated competency and substantial experience in the control, operation and maintenance of boiler and turbine units and associated plant;
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills;
  • Workcover certificates of competency in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Boiler Operation, and  Steam Turbine Operation is desirable ;
  • Relevant Power Plant Operations training.

All successful candidates will undergo in-house training as part of our on-boarding process.
