About the role

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting all of Channels & Integration business critical applications, including our core integration platform along with our integrated SaaS, iPaaS and IaaS integration applications. This is a critical role within IT Operations so you will be expected to take a hands on approach now and in the future as the organisation grows. 

  • Provide day-to-day application support for integrated SaaS, iPaaS, and IaaS applications.
  • Working with our vendors & DevOps team to escalate issues
  • Managing incidents, problems & changes through ticketing tools like JIRA and Service Now.
  • Stakeholder management with key business users
  • Drive ITSM/ITIL processes within the organisation
  • Working with project teams to ensure operation handover is completed to a high quality
  • Provide application support resolving all incidents and requests in line with SLAs and undertaking problem managing working closely with the end user. Rostered on-call support
  • Ensure all applications adhere to security policies and appropriate escalation processes are in place for all applications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the application support function by maintaining awareness of technology developments and making appropriate recommendations to enhance application services.
  • Liaises with application vendors as required and when applicable as per the SLAs.
  • As required, provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.
  • As necessary, liaise with external partners to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Undertake IT application-related problem diagnosis, implementing problem resolution or prevention measures as appropriate.
  • Prioritize and schedule assigned support activities and tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record working in an Application Support role supporting business critical applications
  • Channels & Integration and Digital domain Application support experience in an organisation of a similar size.
  • Service management skills and abilities to manage a portfolio of multiple IT applications.
  • Vendor management and finance skills to support a portfolio of multiple applications for licences renewals, support and maintenance renewals, monthly accruals, and annual budgeting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of ITIL and COBIT control frameworks
  • Experience working with and supporting different Batch schedulers, API platforms and messaging applications highly desirable
  • Experian working in an Agile environment and with Scrum processes.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure & in a team environment
  • Strong logical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience working with AEMO in a similar role is desirable.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
