Technical Business Analyst - Data Centre Relocation

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager for the Data Centre Relocation project, the Technical Business Analyst will join a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced team tasked with the establishment of a new state of the art primary Data Centre, Core Network, and migration of business services from the incumbent Data Centre to the new site. The team are committed to delivery of this new capability and ensuring minimal business impacts through the migration process. The highly collaborative and consultative Technical Business Analyst will help to deliver the following:

  • Assist the Technical Analysts to gather Business Information for ongoing planning
  • Requirements elicitation and traceability, particularly Non-Functional requirements
  • Input into scheduling and task planning
  • Update data centre access processes
  • Work closely with Change Lead to develop a Change Impact/stakeholder matrix whilst assisting with developing the business comms
  • Work with the PM on implementation planning for each phase, working with business teams, and focusing on business applications
  • Work with Service Owners to develop operational readiness checklists, update knowledge articles and CMDB

Leveraging your senior technical and infrastructure experience, your clear thinking, sound communication skills and consideration of business outcomes will see you succeed in this role. This role will require strong:

  • Infrastructure experience (Awareness of Servers, Network, Storage and Backup)
  • Three tier application awareness and good understanding of application integration components
  • Ability to convert tech impacts into business speak
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Natural ability to work across a range of internal and external stakeholder management
