About the Role

In a rapidly changing energy landscape, with a focus on electrification, renewables, and sustainability; community and centralised energy services are evolving with new innovative solutions. EnergyAustralia’s specialised business unit is looking to recruit an experienced and skilled individual to support the ongoing growth of the business. Working with property developers, consultants, builders, and Owners Corporation managers, you will play a critical role in securing new development projects and take-over of existing centralised energy sites.  

This role will see you working at an office based in Docklands, with flexible working arrangements and some interstate travel. You will be responsible for continued growth as well as being accountable for the management of existing clients that are constantly seeking new innovative solutions and market leading offerings.

You will have a strong understanding of community and centralised energy solutions, with strong knowledge of current market participants and conditions and relationships with industry stakeholders.

You will use your initiative, diplomacy, superior communication and organisational skills in delivering outstanding account and contract management of both existing strata buildings and new opportunities. We are seeking a person that can build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Key activities and accountabilities will include:

  • Contribute to and execute business sales strategy, managing a collaborative sales pipeline to delivery of annual sales and business plans;
  • Develop business cases as required for potential Clients, negotiating the terms of multi-year service contracts, including commercial and legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with Clients including Property Developers, Property Managers, Owners Corporations, Consultants and Service providers
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to meet the operational objectives
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to drive excellence in business development, stakeholder management, operational and pipeline efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with a strong background in Business Development and Relationship Management in the community and centralised energy services market segment. You will also be required to provide input and knowledge to assist in the ongoing improvement of our market offerings, challenging the status quo, providing assistance and ideas across the business including, sales process, project management, customer service management, process improvement and business performance. 

In addition to your skills and experiences you'll also be commercially astute and possess the proven ability to achieve results through combining your creativity, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Most importantly, you'll also be an outstanding communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills which enable you to engage, influence and inspire others to achieve desired results.

We are seeking the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 

  • Strong background in energy services, centralised energy solutions, microgrid solutions and strata management with a proven track record of continued results and delivery  
  • Strong understanding of the energy market and emerging energy solutions (highly desirable)
  • Has an understanding and connections within the property development or strata community markets
  • Experience interfacing with business clients (highly desirable)
  • Commercial acumen through assessing opportunities, negotiating legal contracts terms and delivering outcomes 
  • Strong numerical (and excel) skills to manage business modelling for new commercial opportunities.
  • Experience managing end to end solutions and stakeholders (networks/distributors, business and consumer segments)
  • Experience in developing B2B relationship management and delivery complex solutions (highly desirable)
