About the role

As Digital Product Owner, you will own the digital Product vision, collaborate with stakeholders and flexible teams to incrementally transform the vision from Digital Roadmap into Digital experiences that realise value to our customers and to EnergyAustralia. We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to represent the customer and work collaboratively with your squad and other business stakeholders.

Key Activities Include:

  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with Business Owners and others to meet shared objectives (within team and across the business).
  • Create, prioritise and maintain the team backlog, defining sprint goals and answering questions to add detail to user stories.
  • Collaborate with your cross functional team (including user experience, visual designers, business analysts, developers and testers) to create simple, seamless and trusted digital experiences.
  • Develop products from concept through to desirable, viable and feasible digital offerings.
  • Liaise with solution architects, technical leads and business stakeholders outside of your team. 
  • Lead continuous optimisation of the product to improve customer experience and deliver business benefit, together with the delivery of larger roadmap initiatives and projects.
  • Work with other Digital Product Owners to collaborate on knowledge sharing, continuous improvement opportunities, and find synergies and dependencies across work.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment as a Digital Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst for a large, complex organisation.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively to maximise customer value delivery and maintain a manageable workload for the team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyse information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Experience with customer centred design principles and tools.
  • Track record in digital delivery across sales and service channels and in digital channel optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of digital development, mobile applications and content management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
