Asset Management Lead

The role

Reporting to the Asset Management Leader, the primary focus of this role is to take lead on Asset Management related matters, which will include leading teams of site technical experts on technical enquiries, whilst providing strategic oversight of Asset Management Systems (AMS) improvement activities.


  • Lead the creation, development, deployment, monitoring and improvement of the AMS for EnergyAustralia in alignment with the principles of ISO55000
  • Take ownership and lead the development of Asset Management documentation, systems, processes, procedures and information such as the SAMP, site AMPs, RCA, Kaizen, LMPs, Risk, and Asset Information management System (AIMS)
  • Lead the implementation of the AMS across all sites and integration with other business units where applicable e.g. Risk, Compliance, HSSE, Trading, Projects etc.
  • Apply experience and knowledge in Asset Management techniques to analyse existing maintenance activities for all sites and optimise those activities to maximise resource utilisation and reliability, including considerations of long-term strategy and budgets.
  • Direct data analysis using computerised asset management systems (MAXIMO, Ellipse, SAP)
  • Lead and assist with Root Cause Analysis investigations to provide technical assistance when required or requested.

What we’re looking for

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering plus relevant experience and exposure to the Engineering and Asset Management in the energy or heavy industry sectors
  • Knowledge and significant experience in the use of Asset Management Systems based on the principles of ISO55000 or PAS55
  • Knowledge of process safety, behavioural safety, environmental, asset management and quality management systems
  • Experience in managing end to end projects
  • Exposure to assessing critical business processes and initiating continuous improvements through management
