About the role

The Security and Risk Analyst will carry out tasks to ensure that IT security is aligned with business risks and security policy and that appropriate security controls are in place.

You will be responsible for the management of security risks, assurance over security controls and provides executive and senior management reporting on security risk related matters to inform and update key stakeholders.

Key Activities Include:

  • Carry out security risk assessments and ensure EnergyAustralia complies with relevant standards.
  • Prepares executive and senior management reporting on security risk related matters
  • Ensure assurance is in place over selected, key security controls
  • Ensure that security procedures and controls are in place, monitored, and managed.
  • Provides advice and guidance on application and operation of risk controls.
  • Conduct operational and project security risk assessments.
  • Perform Vendor Security Risk Assessments

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in Information Security Risk Management in large commercial enterprises, experience in energy and utilities industry highly advantageous.
  • Experience in assessing IT security controls
  • General understanding of IT industry, technology trends and practices.
  • Sound understanding of risk management and security to support the delivery of secure technology services.
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to talk to certain levels of organisation.
  • Developed commercial business acumen.
