Community Relations Lead

We’re now seeking a Community Relations expert to join our Tallawarra power station, just south of Wollongong, on a 24-month contract. 

Contribute to Tallawarra’s reputation and standing in the community as a good neighbour and build acceptance and approval among community stakeholders in relation to the Power Station and its associated projects. The Community Relations lead will work with senior management, key external stakeholders and the broader local community to help us better understand the social, cultural and economic implications of EnergyAustralia’s operations in the Illawarra region of New South Wales.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Provide high quality specialist stakeholder and community engagement advice to subject matter experts across the business to ensure integration of community engagement in project development and execution. This currently includes the Tallawarra B, Marulan, and Tallawarra Lands projects;
  • Identify, develop and manage engagement opportunities to ensure EnergyAustralia retains visibility and a positive reputation in the community;
  • Develop and deliver best practice stakeholder and community advice, engagement and plans that focus on shared values and mitigating our social, cultural and economic impacts from Power station activities and projects. 

About You

To be successful in the role you will be a Community Relations expert who is energised by engaging with people, passionate about shared value between the business and local community and are seeking a role where you can make a real difference. You will have outstanding community relations experience, proven experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies and initiatives and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Most importantly though will be your passion for driving positive change combined with superior communication and relationship management skills which enable you to engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
